I was running all over looking for a formal salwar kameez for my 50th birthday party/kirtan. I only found extremely expensive things ($350-$600) or things that were too ordinary. I wanted something fairly elaborate that I could use for Devi Bhava and Gurupurnima. I found one for about $100 elsewhere but did not buy it because I had a bad experience with the owner, and also when I tried it on I noticed it was polyester. Later I went online and found many similar salwar kameez for less. Well, I finally decided to give Choonri collection a call. First, the service was incredible. Second, the outfit is designed by Seema and made to her specifications in India. No one else in the world will have your outfit. Third, it is very convenient if you live in the Western suburbs. Fourth, her (small) showroom is a converted upstairs bedroom in her gracious and pretty home. If you want a totally individual experience, go here. I paid $280 for a bright red Georgette salwar kameez with elaborate crystal beaded flowers and brass beads, even done on the hem and legs of the pants and a simple dupatta. I went over my budget of $200 because it was EXACTLY what I was looking for! My friend who threw the party bought me a tiara, and I looked and felt like a princess. These were the tight legged pants and although I had no problem at her home, it was hard to put them on before the party as it was very humid. I called Seema atypically somewhat upset and she calmed me down and told me how to put them on. (I bought the outfit too close to the party to have it altered or I would not have had this problem. I plan to go back and have zippers or buttons put in for the future.) Any one saying it is too expensive may not have shopped around for Indian clothing in the US. You will only get a better deal for formal clothes in Greater Boston if you luck out on sale rack. (And Seema has some very nice sale items herself, one of a kind salwar kameez . Yes, you can order things from India, but you will not be able to feel the fabric, and if you pick it off a website it is not one of a kind. Yes, if you have $1200 or more for a plane ticket, of course you can get less expensive formal clothing in India. Otherwise, forget it. Just save yourself a lot of gas and frustration and go to Choonri collections. It is a very special experience visiting this talented and attentive lady.

• I was really thrilled with the amazing indian outfits Seema has designed! There was a lot of variety. I got a gorgeous outfit for my friend's wedding and received tons of compliments on it.Seema was gracious enough to quickly have the outfit altered before the wedding with such short notice. A must stop for designer clothing- would highly recommend Choonri Collection!!!!!

I was shopping for a groom's mother's outfit and had already scoured the  limited choices in Boston  and came up empty. I was then refered to Seema's boutique by a friend and to my delight she had tasteful selections of sarees, lehegas and such. These were more upscale and classy then I had seen elsewhere. Besides Seema herself helps you like a personal shopper with patience and insight. When I was unable to decide, she worked with me, let me return and try out things until I was  satisfied and helped me find a really beautiful saree that was the right color on me, right for my occasion and within my budget! I can't wait to wear it!
All in all a very satisfying experience.

I have been shopping with Seema only recently, but she has already made me feel very comfortable and welcome with much personalized attention and service. She makes you feel special independent of the size of your purchase ensuring you walk out satisfied. She is not inexpensive, but clothes are high quality and well tailored. She takes particular care to make sure the clothes fit well. I intend to return for the long haul!

The men's suit that I bought for my wedding was a fabulous choice.  Seema Kapoor was great to work with, she helped my (now) wife and I choose everything, from the fabric to the fit to the style.  I think it was a bit of a challenge to design a suit that was a blend of East and West, but Seema did a commendable job and still was able to accommodated my tight schedule.  All the work was quality and the price was outstanding.

I have worked with Seema and purchased clothing from Choonri Collection several times, most recently for my niece's wedding. Seema's flexibility and professionalism in delivering good-quality products was excellent. I appreciated her attention to detail regarding the wedding schedule, and her creative design suggestions were appropriate for the occasion. We had a very tight budget, and she was willing to work within that constraint without sacrificing quality.

I've known Seema Kapoor  for some time now and She has designed countless outfits for indian fashion shows and photoshoots. I've been doing fashion shows for her for some time now and have really seen her clothes evolve over time. Her stuff is incredible. She is my sole, most favorite designer and I have had the pleasure of wearing tons of different outfits. She can make anyone look amazing. Her outfits are of high quality, always the latest fashion and the design work is intricate and flashy. Any time i've worn Seems'a clothing i've stood out and always get complimented. She is extremely gifted and can basically make anything you want. I cannot say enough good thinks about Seema and her beautiful Couture garments. Bottom-line, Choonri Collections is the place to be if you are looking for great customer service and extravagant clothing at an affordable price.
